Vialet, Laurent
1967-

Laurent Vialet was born in Paris in 1967 and works in a contemporary, French-Impressionistic manner.  He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and took numerous study trips to observe the landscapes of Normandy and Brittany.

Vialet is greatly influenced by the work of his uncle, the artist Jean Kevorkian, as well as by Jean Baptiste Corot.  Vialet studies older masters by perusing the halls of the Musee d'Orsay.  He is a great admirer of nature and often paints landscapes and marines.  He captures the French countryside with a palette that reflects the soft pastels and muted colors of the Impressionists whom he emulates.
