Abigail Joseph studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University under renowned artist, Walter Feldman.  She graduated from Brown with honors in May of 2000.  Upon graduation she received the prestigious Weston Award for excellence in the visual arts.  She has lived and traveled throughout Italy, studying portrait and landscape painting in Florence. 

Ms. Joseph has continued to develop her interest and talent in portrait painting through a series of commissioned portraits, particularly exploring her ability to capture the character of her subjects through subtleties of facial and physical expression.  A native of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Ms. Joseph has returned to the area, and currently resides in Downingtown, PA where she continues to be inspired by the beauty of the Pennsylvania landscape, which is evident in much of her work.
