Alaux, Cora

Cora Alaux was born in 1959 on an island south of Sin Han Goon, South Korea.  She is a self-taught artist.  Since she was a child, she has been fascinated with painting and drawing.  By the age of twenty, she was already an accomplished professional painter, selling her work to galleries and corporate clients throughout the country. 

After ten years of painting professionally, she attended Hong Heek University in Seoul for formal training in the visual arts. 

Cora is a permanent member of La Maison des Artistes in Paris and has exhibited widely throughout France and the United States.  Her work has been exhibited at Galerie Roland Charton, Aigues-Mortes and Avignon, 1997 and 1999; La Galerie des Arts, Aix-en- Provence, 1998; and La Galerie Mogliani, Baux de Provence, 1999.  

In addition, her work is on permanent exhibit at La Galerie des Merveilles, Saint Paul de Vence; Galerie Cora, Uzes; Atelier Couleur Provence, Vallauris; and Galerie La Musa in Washington D.C. 

Cora Alaux lives with her husband in Provence.
