Chaney, Lester Joseph

Painter and designer Lester Chaney achieved a reputation for his compelling marines.  He was born in Nagy Kanisza, Hungary, April 19, 1907. 

Later, Chaney moved to Chicago and studied under Charles Woodbury as well as at the Art Institute of Chicago No-Jury Society of Artists.  His awards included the Little Gallery Prize, Evanston, Illinois, 1932.  He also exhibited at the Union League Club
