Dougherty, Parke Curtis

Dougherty was born in Philadelphia in 1867. He went to school at the Academie Julian-Student. He is known as a painter of landscapes, nocturnes, figures, and genre.

He was a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club. Dougherty exhibited at Art Institute of Chicago, Corcoran Gallery, Washington DC, Louisiana Purchase Expo, St. Louis World's Fair 1904, National Academy of Design, Panama Pacific Exhibition of 1915, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Philadelphia Sketch Club.
