Eitel, Jacques
1926-

The French painter, Jacques Eitel is known for his playful and inventive compositions inspired by the French landscape, especially the seaside.  Born in Paris in 1926, Eitel studied at L’Ecole de Beaux Arts in the studio of portrait and landscape painter Eugene Narbonne.

Eitel has exhibited regularly throughout Europe.  His work has been included in the prestigious Salon d’Autumne and the Salon des Independants.  He had his first solo show at the Galerie Raffy in 1957 and won the Prix de Montmartre.

His paintings are in the collections of the French state, the City of Paris, and in numerous private collections.
