Ore, Quinti

Quinti Ore, one of Peru's best watercolorists, was born in Peru in 1953.  Ore's childhood was steeped in the art of watercolor.  His hometown in the south of Peru, called Arequipa, is the residence of many well-known watercolorists.  Artists like Cordova, Pantigozo, and Chavez have worked there their entire life.

Ore studied painting at the School of Arts of Charlos Baca Flor of Arequipa from 1973 to 1978.  From 1979 to 1984 he studied at the School of Arts of Lima and, in addition, he studied drawing and design at the Carthel School.  At the Center of Psychological Pathologies, Ore also took courses in "Art as Therapy."

Along with teaching at Arequipa's high school, he exhibited several times in the most important institutional galleries of Peru, such as the Petroperu Gallery, the Industrial Bank Gallery, and the Italian Museum.
